The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior People Partner who brings a balance of operational excellence and strategic curiosity. This role is ideal for a driven People & Culture professional with around seven years of experience who’s ready to step into a more autonomous, forward-thinking role that blends strategy, culture, and execution. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of core People programs and lead initiatives that shape the AV experience and reinforce our values. Partnering with the VP of People & Culture, you’ll be empowered to drive improvements, innovate in how we support our teams, and evolve the people function to deliver impactful talent strategies that meet the needs of a dynamic, distributed, and high-performing team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building structure out of ambiguity, and is passionate about creating an engaging and inclusive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Project Leadership
Lead and co-lead cross-functional people projects related to workforce planning, organizational design, and talent development.
Serve as a thought partner to the VP of People & Culture, using data and insights to inform decisions and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and the AV experience.
Identify opportunities to enhance processes, streamline operations, and introduce best practices that align with AV’s values and business goals.
Employee Experience & Engagement
Serve as a first-line resource and trusted partner, providing guidance on P&C policies, programs, and various P&C related matters.
Own and evolve AV’s people lifecycle experiences, delivering high-impact, consistent touchpoints across teams.
Design and implement comprehensive engagement and recognition programs that enhance the AV experience, including surveys, feedback loops, team-building, wellness, and DEI efforts.
Total Rewards & Compensation
Act as the lead liaison with our PEO Partner, Finance, and Legal to administer payroll, benefits, and compliance reporting.
Support annual compensation planning, salary benchmarking, and ongoing equity and incentive processes.
Continuously assess and optimize total rewards offerings to remain competitive and equitable.
People Operations & Compliance
Own and optimize core people operations—including onboarding, offboarding, policies, compliance, and systems—ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience at every stage.
Champion process innovation and automation to improve efficiency and scalability.
Leverage data and analytics to guide people decisions and assess the impact of initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
7+ years of progressive HR/People & Culture experience, preferably in a startup or hypergrowth environment.
Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to move from vision to execution with agility.
Demonstrated project management skills—you can keep multiple priorities moving while bringing others along.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the business.
Working knowledge of employment law, HR systems, and best practices in people operations and total rewards, with a desire to keep learning.
Comfortable working in a hybrid model in Manchester, NH or Boston, MA.
